A private online whiteboard that stays local by default

Quick Whiteboard keeps ordinary board data in your current browser instead of attaching it to an online account. You decide when to export a file or create a read-only snapshot link.

A clear local-first privacy model

No board account

There is no profile containing your board library and no sign-in required to open the editor.

Browser-local autosave

Ordinary boards use this browser's local storage and are not automatically synchronized to another device.

Deliberate portability

JSON export creates an editable backup; PNG export creates a viewable image.

Deliberate sharing

The app creates a snapshot link only after you ask it to, and that snapshot does not receive later edits.

When local-first is useful

Personal thinking

Map an idea without first placing it in a shared team workspace.

Temporary explanations

Draw a quick diagram, export it, then clear the local board when it is no longer needed.

Offline-friendly preparation

Keep working with board data already available in the browser, without relying on account sync.

Controlled handoff

Choose between an image, editable JSON, or a read-only snapshot based on what the recipient needs.

Privacy questions

Are ordinary boards uploaded to an app database?

No. The app has no board database; ordinary boards are stored in the current browser.

Does private browsing keep my board?

Usually only for that private session. Browser privacy modes may clear local storage when the session closes.

Is a share link secret?

It is not access-controlled. Treat the complete snapshot link like a file and send it only to intended recipients.

How can I move to another device?

Export JSON on the first device and import that file in the other browser.
